The beat goes on - at Internet Cafes.  After playing violent role playing and action arcade gangs, L.A. gangs are taking their violence out onto the street.  Turning cyberspace into meatspace.

As usual it's the Asian gangs that are behind it.  I have this theory that these 1st generation Americans - have all sorts of consumerism and 'values' dangled in front of their noses, yet their foreign born parents have no clue as to how to balance that consumerism and Amercanism, with ethics and values.  Their parents were born in a different world, but when they raise their kids here - they either lock them up and turn them into book worms, or lose any sense of control over them.

Especially the kids born in Vietnam or China, but raised here.

Put them into a fast, small sports car - and it turns into a weapon.

Emergency worker: Frist 'a true hero'.

[Google U.S. News]

Talk about Socratic oath!  Our new Senate majority leader, FRIST was driving down the highway - when he came upon a bad car accident. He apparently rolled up his sleeves and got to work helping to save lives.  Can you imagine Sen. Trent Lott doing that for a busload of black kids?

Or even Ed Kennedy?  Dd he jump into the water to save Mary Jo what-her-name's life?

This is a good sign of things to come. Senators with morals.

For those of us who know Doc, his weight loss over the past six months seems to have stuck.

So now it's time for him to change his avatar - his graphical representation of himself, which tops off his blog's banner.  I propose this image, which is not only funky and cool, but reaks of "crazy, cyber junky, ranting at all passers by about all things cluetrainful."

In addition to his avatar change, I also propose that Doc buy over 100 copies of this suit and hat and wear it constantly - from now on. It's too perfect to be passed up.

Ali G Bullets. Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, who plays the spoof rapper Ali G, escaped injury when a bullet flew through his Israeli hotel bedroom.
[Adam Curry: Adam Curry's Weblog]

Ali G is a hilarious British comedian - part rasta, part gangsta, all part TV star.  He's done movies, but for some reason none of them have made it over here.  I suspect he's been blacklisted (I wonder if the DVD's even work in this 'zone'?)  He interviews politicians and other 'cultural' mavens and makes them look ridiculous.

Apparently someone shot at him in Isreal the other day.

To give you an idea of his popularity - he's got over 83K links on Google.

The show makes everything over here look pale in comparison (except maybe for 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'.)
