craigslist documentary
Hey, you might have read that Zealot Pictures, an independent film maker in SF, is doing a documentary 24 hours on craigslist.
It's moving ahead nicely, all filming done, and they're working hard on editing the film. The SF Chronicle had a good article on Sundance and local film companies last week, which discusses this. A sample reel will be submitted to the Sundance film festival, and there's a good chance it'll be accepted. The possibility of my visting seems pretty surreal...
... but for even better and improved surrealism, well, at my local cafe, Reverie, I met some Australian filmmakers doing a documentary on Asperger's Syndrome, courtesy of Steve Silberman from Wired. Well, this resulted in my doing a little interview on how being a (recovering) nerd relates to this. The filming was done during a haircut yesterday, which is the most surreal activity so far for me. They didn't have much time to work, consider how much hair I have. Thanks to Tina for her patience! [craigblog]
Crais Newmark has a true brand. He also helped in the lawsuit the EFF did against the movie studios - trying to protect RePlay's right to Skip Commercials and Send Show to Friends features.
Needless to say RePlay was sold, the new owner took out the features and we're still waiting to see what happens with the lawsuit Craig and the EFF have against Hollywood.
