What ever happened to the Event Share Framework?. The Event Share Framework seemed to have some buzz a little while back.  I posted a question about implementation (we really wanted to do something like this in K-Collector) to the ESF list but got zero response and can't say I've seen anyone talking about it since.  Did it disappear off the radar?  Has it gone underground?  Does anyone know?  Or care?
[Curiouser and curiouser!]

I was thinking the same thing myself.

At a minimum I was hoping that UpComing.org would support it and that we'd gateway over to Outlook calendar or something like that.

RAP is good!.

I got impatient and couldn't resist trying RAP (RDF API for PHP) with the pet data. I don't know PHP and am no expert on server admin, but it only took a couple of hours to get an installation running and a script together to load the Pet Profiles into a triplestore (ModelDB). Here are the pet statements, transferred live from the (in DB) instance docs.

Very pleasing indeed. [Raw]

Wow!  What a coincidence.  We were just talking about RAP and how slow it was the other day on our PeepAgg IRC channel.

Apparently when you want to parse 444 people sized FOAF files (which would be my Tribe FOAF) it'll take forever.  So the question is: "can we optimzie RAP or rewrite it in C - and somehow get that code into a php codebase (like Drupal?)

Congrats to some of my favorite bloggers.

Many-to-Many turns one. The group weblog on social software that Clay Shirky, Ross Mayfield, Liz Lawley and I started last year has turned one! Along the way we've had a string of great guestbloggers, and two of them (David Weinberger and danah boyd) have become regular authors. Meanwhile social software hasn't stopped booming, and things are getting more interesting every day.

On the occasion of the anniversary we have decided to open a wiki space on social software, which I hope will be helpful in collecting and organizing resources on this growing area of interest. I have spent a while seeding the social software timeline, finding out along the way that email, group chat, mailing lists, MUDs, and USENET were all invented before 1980. Ross has integrated his social software reader and started an open post. Everyone is welcome to set foot on the space, making a personal page and contributing wherever they can. You can also suggest story leads on this page, and follow the action in this RSS feed. Explore and enjoy!

Re: ETA?. Posted by: Randy

How is that possible? Let's say user A has friends B and C on network X. Now A wants to move to network Y. B already exist in network Y, but C doesn't. Are we going to setup C on network Y?

Just wondering. [Tribe.net: FOAF]

Randy is asking about our FOAFnet spec.

Here's how it would work......

User A imports B....Z into Y.  Y comes back and lists out his friends in three lists: [those who are already in Y], [those who aren't and who's email is availabel for auto-registration] and [those who don;t have emails available.]

In addition each human has an export control checkbox - which defaulted off.  So if they want or are willing to be exported they have to check the checkbox.  Explicit permission.
